Two kinds of publication cover this market. Institutional data feeds sell pricing to hedge funds through Bloomberg Terminal and produce no editorial. Generalist technology commentary covers AI as one beat among many and produces no measurement. The space between them is where the operators making real procurement decisions sit, and the analysts trying to understand what those decisions are doing to the economy. Sorso View occupies that space: measurement and editorial, in the same publication, every week.
What we publish.
Three cadences. One register. One standard.
Sorso View Brief, activating soon. Short editorial notes when pricing, capacity, or market structure moves once the editorial cadence is live. New rate-card disclosures, hyperscaler announcements, capacity events, financial filings. Read in the time it takes to finish coffee.
Weekly, The Sorso View Compute Index. The benchmark across twenty-seven GPU cloud providers in three tiers, with editorial commentary on what moved and what it implies. Every data point sourced. Every methodology disclosed. Free, weekly.
Periodic, Sorso View Essays. Long-form analysis on the structural and civilizational consequences of the AI buildout. Capital flows. Market structure. Geopolitics. The labor shifts the next decade is forcing. The questions the AI era is asking that no one is answering yet.
Who it's for.
For the people running this market, and the people trying to understand it.
The Index and the Briefs serve the work being done inside the AI compute economy: defending procurement decisions, evaluating provider migrations, negotiating contracts, covering the equities. The Essays widen the aperture. They are written for the readers trying to make sense of an economic moment most coverage either celebrates or warns about, and few treat with both seriousness and range.
The four commitments.
Every Index issue and every editorial piece meets four published standards. They are the audit framework, not aspirations.
Sourcing. Every factual claim is traceable to a named public source. Where an estimate is necessary, it is labeled distinctly.
Consistency. Same methodology, same panel, same definitions, every week. Methodology changes are disclosed in the issue they take effect.
Distinction. Measured data and derived data are labeled separately. Readers always know which they are reading.
Correction. When errors occur, they are corrected openly, with explanation of what was wrong and how it occurred. The corrections page is permanent and public.
Where we sit.
Sorso View does not occupy either of the two existing positions in this market.
Institutional financial data feeds, such as Silicon Data and Ornn Data, sell raw pricing to hedge funds and quantitative trading desks via Bloomberg Terminal at institutional pricing. They do not produce editorial. Their reader is the quant at a financial institution.
Broad technology commentary, such as Stratechery, Platformer, and The Information, covers AI from a generalist perspective without specialized data infrastructure. Their reader is the broad technology professional.
Sorso View occupies the gap between them. Data and editorial in the same publication, written for the operators making procurement decisions and for the thoughtful reader trying to understand what those decisions are doing to the economy. The same standard applies to both.
Editorial standards.
Sorso View publishes under an institutional voice. Articles are signed "By the Sorso View Editorial." This is a deliberate choice, and not a small one.
Institutional benchmarks are cited by reference to the publication that produces them, not by reference to the individuals on staff. The Economist publishes anonymously and is read more than any signed publication of comparable depth. S&P, Moody's, MSCI, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics produce numbers cited routinely by markets and governments without naming the methodologists who construct them. The byline is institutional because the work is institutional.
The Index is an institutional benchmark. The Briefs and Essays are institutional editorial. The byline reflects that.
Independence is the same kind of structural choice. Sorso View takes no affiliate, referral, or transaction fees from the providers it ranks, and no provider can pay for inclusion or treatment. The publication is funded by its readers and by its data and research products, never by the providers in the panel. That is what makes the Index citable.
Editorial culture and reliability standard reflect the founding philosophy: decisions made on data and logic, not speculation; quality non-negotiable; team capacity scaled to the demands of the work, not the other way around. Functional leads in editorial direction, operations, sales, partnerships, and engineering activate as the publication scales.
